Meet Kate…
Hi friends and food lovers and welcome to My Little Larder!
I live in Auckland, New Zealand not too far from the beach with my husband, Will, our gorgeous toddler George (no we’re not royalty), little baby Henry a.k.a. Harry and our big fat cat Hunter. I recently left the in the aviation industry where I was hunting submarines, chasing pirates and travelling around the world become a full time mum, part time food blogger and professional food lover! I created My Little Larder in June 2014 as a way to share my love of beautiful, simple and delicious food.
My Little Larder comes from a teeny weeny kitchen (1.9 square metres to be exact) so out of necessity I have found that you don’t need fancy equipment, a deluxe kitchen or plenty of time to make delicious, fresh and flavourful food for your friends and family.
Yes, a small kitchen does mean it can occasionally turn to chaos especially when I have a lapse of judgement and attempt to make a tiered cake for 70 people (argh!) or a five course dinner for eight (eek!). But I’ll keep you clear of any of that silliness and if I don’t hopefully you can learn from it (or at least be entertained by me).
I hope you love my My Little Larder as much as I do and it only fuels your love of cooking and entertaining. Happy eating!
