Homemade Pumpkin Puree

  • 1 pumpkin
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water


  1. Preheat oven at 190C (375F).
  2. Cut pumpkin in half. Scoop out the seeds and discard. Place pumpkin halves skin side up on a baking tray and place in the oven.
  3. Roast for 45-60 min or until pumpkin flesh is soft. Bake time will depend on the size of your pumpkin so ensure you check for desired doneness. Remove from oven.
  4. Once pumpkin is cool enough to handle, scoop out the flesh and place in a bowl with 1/4 cup water. Using a stick blender, blend until smooth. If required, add additional water to achieve desired consistency.
